Our Sixth Day

Saturday June 2, 2018

Today was a pretty quiet day for us here.

We started out participating in a class from 11AM-1PM, which actually went by too fast. We were having such a great discussion about taboo topics, which was just so interesting to talk about. It really is incredibly fascinating to hear about what is acceptable to talk about in different cultures, and learn how we are similar and different.

After class we had a quick snack, then we took the AKS dogs for a long walk through a nearby park. The pups were so fun to hang out with, and helped take the edge off how much we miss our baby girl, Rhythm. Luckily, we know she is safe and happy with her Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Jess.

The park was lovely, and we had a beautiful day for walking along the river, where there was a nice breeze.

From the path we were on, we could see the famous "TV Tower" which is basically like the Space Needle in Seattle. It's a very popular tourist attraction here, and we definitely plan on visiting it soon!

We also found the playground equipment interesting here, because it really looks like gym equipment that has been made to be used outside. Tim said it was tricking the kids into exercising, but then we realized that all kind of play on any equipment is technically exercise!

After our walk, we cooked a nice homemade dinner of rice and squash with some avocado, and ate it outside on our front porch, since it was such a beautiful evening! Now we are just relaxing and hanging out before bedtime.

Thanks for reading! Love from both of us! <3

  1. I saw a lot of workout equipment like that at parks in Korea too! I love it hahaha.

    1. As you may know by now, we aren't at that flat anymore. I think we didn't take pictures of it because it really wasn't that impressive... lol. It was basically just a room with a tiny little bathroom. We are now staying at other peoples flats, and feel a little strange about taking pictures of other people homes. We moved yet again, so maybe I will share a couple pics of the new place we are in now!

    1. Yeah, totally! We are planning to go on a week day because it's more expensive to go on a weekend. ;-)
